#art  Spiral Jetty is an iconic earthwork sculpture located in the Great Salt Lake, Utah, USA. Created by artist Robert Smithson in 1970, it is a massive coil-shaped structure made out of rocks, mud, and salt crystals. It extends into the lake for about 1,500 feet and is considered one of the most important works of land art. Over the years, the appearance of Spiral Jetty changes with fluctuations in the water level of the lake.
