#obsidian ## What is Obsidian and how to Start Using It? ![(11) My simple note-taking setup | Zettelkasten in Obsidian | Step-by-step guide - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6ySG7xYgjY) People have different way of organization in Obsidian because people think differently. The good thing about Obsidian is that its flexibility allows your idea to thrive and it also represent your way of thinking. I once asked kepano for some tips about using using Obsidian. This is what he said. ![kepano on X: "@yomaru_1999 @obsdmd my note-taking practice is built around laziness, everything organizes itself" / X (twitter.com)](https://twitter.com/kepano/status/1699462663246594140?s=20) It doesn't mean that he doesn't organize his notes. His way of organization is self-organization because his philosophy is that the tool should make him focus on the content rather than using the time to do unnecessary management. Obsidian, in my opinion, is not difficult to learn. In contrast, it is the easiest to learn. Because it is basically just a text editor, differentiating from other apps like Notion, Evernote, OneNote, Heptabase which they are not a text editor to native text file. If you find it hard to learn Obsidian, always go back to basic, open a new vault, just try out writing some text, always feel refreshing😎 > [!info] learn more: [[Guiding Principles of Obsidian]] ## Some Graph Showcase ![](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/709712341066842113/1179329341151264848/Screenshot-2023-11-29-at-10.50.01_AM.png?ex=65796309&is=6566ee09&hm=046a72cae7bbf9ad19e181cb446760da3df4df61d3e0b826a269978a9275990d&=&format=webp&quality=lossless&width=1310&height=1228)
