## History
Codenames is a popular party card game designed by Vlaada Chvátil and published by Czech Games Edition in 2015. It is a word association game where two teams compete against each other to guess words based on clues given by their team's "spymaster." The game received positive reviews and won the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award in 2016 for the best board game of the year.
## How to Play
1. **Setup**: The game requires 4 or more players, split into two teams (red and blue). A 5x5 grid of word cards is placed on the table, and each team selects a spymaster.
2. **Objective**: The goal of the game is for the teams to correctly guess all their assigned words before the other team.
3. **Gameplay**: The spymasters take turns giving one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the grid. The clue should relate to the meaning or association of the words. The number in the clue indicates how many words on the grid are related to that clue.
4. **Guessing**: The other players on the team attempt to guess their team's words based on the spymaster's clue. They can discuss and make guesses, but they must be careful not to guess the words of the other team or the "assassin" word, which instantly ends the game.
5. **Revealing**: When a word is correctly guessed, it is covered with the team's color card. If a word is guessed incorrectly, it is covered with the neutral color card. If the assassin word is guessed, the game ends immediately, and the team who guessed it loses.
6. **Winning**: The game continues until one team has correctly guessed all their words or until a team guesses the assassin word. The team with the most points wins.
