Big 2, also known as Deuces, Dai Di, Pusoy Dos, or Chor Dai Di, is a popular card game that originated in East Asia. It is commonly played in countries such as China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, as well as among Asian communities worldwide.
## History
The exact origins of Big 2 are unclear, but it is believed to have evolved from a similar game called Choh Dai Di, which originated in China during the mid-19th century. Over time, it spread to other Asian countries, acquiring different names and variations.
## How to Play
1. Objective: The objective of Big 2 is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your hand.
2. Number of Players: Big 2 is typically played with four players, although variations for 2 to 8 players exist.
3. Card Hierarchy: Cards rank from 3 (lowest) to 2 (highest), with aces being the exceptions, as they can either be the highest card or the lowest (e.g., below 3).
4. Gameplay: The game proceeds in turns. Players can play a higher-ranking card or set of cards (such as a pair, three of a kind, straight, etc.) than the previous player. The played cards must follow certain rules, such as having the same number of cards and being of higher rank.
5. Passing: If a player cannot or does not wish to play higher cards, they must pass. Once all other players pass, the player who played the last set of valid cards gets to start a new round.
6. Endgame: The game continues until one player has no cards left in their hand, and they become the winner of that round. The game usually proceeds for multiple rounds, with players keeping track of their scores.
