## What Did You Do Today?
1. wake up in the morning at 7:30am. Check out my social media. Read a lot of information. Then realise that I have wasted so much time in the morning at 10am. Then I took a shower, made myself a smoothie. Then went to Waves coffee and wrote my diary and the article [[Information overwhelm]].
2. Then I went to SFU to have a study with Terry about Cross. Justin and Brandon are there with me. Before the study, I met Jonathan in the library and we have a small talk about my article. He thinks the article is really cool and is a good reflection.
1. In the bible study, we talk about the salvation from Jesus Christ. Because of his sacrifice, our sin is cleaned
2. We have to connect to Jesus personally. Do we feel that Jesus was crucified because of ourselves. Do we have that "cut to the heart" feeling? We have the hope to love God back because he first love us.
3. Then we talked about the importance of baptism. Without baptism, we still haven't received the gift (the holy spirit). It is a matter of salvation so it is important. → repent and get baptized.
4. Terry said he had never thought so deep about baptism and Jesus sacrifice. He thinks sometimes he is arrogant and don't want to admit that God is killed by him. He had never thought that baptism is a must to become a christian and receive the gift. But in our church, baptism is not just a ceremonial, it is a matter of salvation.
3. I think the bible study goes very well. We took a picture and then I leave. I went to downtown to meet up Natalie. We tried Ramen in Danbo. It is very good. We also tried the burger next to it.
4. Natalie talked about she being envy about Jeff's daughter. She said she want to have such a life too.
1. have a good and spiritual family
2. have a good relationship with husband
3. have a lot of free time to travel different explore
5. I expressed my concern on having a good priority on the important things in our life. But overall we have a good talk.
6. we went to have walk in the waterfront. We took some good pictures and have some good chat. We have a conversation about two persons being matched in term of background. The moon is beautiful btw.
> [!info]- Scriptures of the day
> remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near ==by the blood of Christ.==
> Ephesians 2:12-13 (NIV)
>
> Because of the blood / sacrifice of Jesus, we can unit with God.
>
> "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah." When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" Peter replied, "==Repent and be baptized==, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
> Acts 2:36-39 (NIV)
>
> Jesus answered, "==Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.=="
> John 3:5-8 (NIV)
>
> For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that ==whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life==.
> John 3:16 (NIV)
>
> "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
> Matthew 26:41 (NIV)
>
> =="If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.==
> Luke 14:26-27 (NIV)
